The Story Behind the Bottle
Giorgio Flessati is a winemaker of remarkable talent working throughout his native Italy and in Chile, too. His wines are varied and diverse, but all show great quality and innovation. This tasty Vermentino is a great example of Georgio’s art. Olly Smith (The Daily Mail) describes Vermentino as “a gently aromatic white that can be as scented as lemon blossom and as bracing as the sea breeze”. It loves the Mediterranean sun, which is why the grape thrives in Sicily, where it develops delicious, mouthfilling flavours countered by vibrancy and zest. Trazzera comes from high vineyards overlooking the coast in the island’s southwest. Clean, nutty and exceptionally refreshing, it makes a delicious apéritif and a top match for pork with apple.
