The Spirit
In 1724 winegrower Rémy Martin began selling Cognac under his own name. Such was the quality of Rémy’s Cognac that just 14 years later he was granted the Royal Accord of King Louis XV to continue crafting his regal spirit in the Charente. Now, the French aristocracy may not have stood the test of time, but Rémy Martin Cognac is certainly still in great demand. This exceptionally smooth brandy commemorates that auspicious award bestowed in 1738. All Cognacs produced by the house are made exclusively from fruit grown in Petite Champagne and Grande Champagne crus. They’re then distilled in traditional, small copper stills and aged in barrels created in their own cooperage. Rich, mellow and warming, this is one for all spirit lovers to savour.
