The name of this exquisite red refers to the remoteness of the region, but also recognises the tenacity of those trailblazing families who settled in Australia’s southwest corner a century ago and would have undoubtedly felt very far from home. Today, Margaret River is renowned as “one of the great wine regions of the world” (The Sunday Times). The Leeuwin Current that flows along the coast ensures cool, even temperatures – so grapes ripen slowly and the wines have that trademark Margaret River elegance.
