The Wine
Founded in 1877, sixth generation McWilliam’s is one of the most historic cellars Down Under. They obviously remain on top form judging by the huge haul of Trophies and high scores they win every year. The family have gained recognition in particular for championing the cool climate spots of New South Wales with wines like this Tumbarumba white and their Hilltops Shiraz. In 2012 they were awarded ‘Most Successful Exhibitor’ at the Sydney Royal Show for the 18th consecutive year. This wine comprises the finest grapes from Tumbarumba, hand picked and all barrel fermented, each vineyard separately. The wine was left in barrel and lees stirred to lend even more complexity and texture. A masterpiece – ripe, complex and crisp. Serve cool.
