Il Pino is made by Giuseppe Secchi, senior winemaker at the 150 year old Concilio winery, and there’s nothing he doesn’t know about local speciality Pinot Grigio. His classic rosato is just the sort of wine chic Italians choose to drink in the lakeside bars and restaurants. In 2014 a cold summer made it tricky to ripen reds, but the cool conditions followed by a blazing September suited whites and pinks, so you’ll find the wines have a crisp intensity and aromatic lift. Elegant and refreshing on its own, this is an ideal match with seafood and salads.
