The Wine
The epitome of crunchy, ripe fruit, New World Cabernet at a great price. The Luis Felipe Edwards estate lies on the upper slopes of Chile’s Colchagua Valley, the winery surrounded by lush vineyards. A canny businessman, Luis Felipe Edwards Snr made money in the construction industry, then followed his dream and created his own wine estate. He started in the 1970s with 60 hectares of 70 year old vines. Today, the estate remains very much family run, and it is a huge success, having been named ‘Chilean Winery of the Year’ three times. Behind the grand facade of an old colonial house is a state of the art winery, complete with a luxurious barrel cellar.
