One taste of its super-crisp, citrus-packed flavours was enough for our man Down Under, Dan Parrott, to secure as much of this one-off parcel of wine that he could. You see, it's from the cool Adelaide Hills for starters – where top name like Nepenthe, Grosset, Shaw & Smith and Petaluma have vineyards and make the finest, dazzling fresh Sauvignon Blanc. What's more this 2015 comes from one of the region's top cellars, but it's a Cleanskin wine, so part of the great deal price is anonymity. What we can say is that bottles of fine Sauvignon from the Hills tend to go for £20+. Pure fruit, no oak, this 2015 dazzles with brilliant lemony, grassy and mineral character. Very moreish solo, but perfect too with spicy seafood or creamy white meats.
