The Wine
The Aussies love small batch, handcrafted gems like this, so there’s seldom any left for the rest of us. So our Buyer Dan Parrott was lucky to find you this superstar. It’s from the Blue Pyrenees Estate, founded in the 1960s when French company Rémy Martin recognised that the soils and cool climate of the Victorian Pyrenees would be perfect for producing quality wines. Today, Blue Pyrenees is 100% Aussie owned, and all their wines are made with estate grown fruit. Section One is the single vineyard where they source old vine Shiraz. Small portions of Viognier and Cabernet Sauvignon lift the blend prior to 18 months ageing in French and US oak. Bold and flavourful, yet balanced and elegant, it will grace your finest dining for years to come.
