Alambrado Gran Selección Bonarda 2015
Mendoza

Bonarda was until recently Argentina’s most widely grown grape. Only now however is Bonarda being given the recognition it deserves as a grape with massive potential. It’s often blended, though not in the case of this supple, cherry scented delight.

The Wine
Rated third among the top 10 wineries of Chile and Argentina by the publication The Wine Report, Familia Zuccardi can be hugely proud of their achievements. Alambrado Bonarda is truly worthy of their reputation, with delicious cherry flavours and silken tannins. It was in the early 1950s that Don Alberto Zuccardi first started experimenting with irrigation. A decade or so later he planted a vineyard to showcase the advantages of his system, and he never looked back. Now his son José is in charge of the estate and proud of the fact that the same families who joined the company at the start are still involved. This luscious Bonarda with its ripe cherry and vanilla character goes beautifully with that Argentine favourite, char-grilled steak.

"Delicious, fruity red. A very nice, rich, fruity flavour. A great bottle to enjoy with a steak"
